A very short post to inform you that the new Apple iPhone and the new iSDK version 4 is out ! With 9.3 millimeters thin, iPhone 4 becomes one of thinnest smartphone in the world. And to forget the difficult period during which iPhone was discredited because of dangerous explosion, the iPhone 4 use the same glass as glass used in windshields of helicopter and high-speed train. In addition to a new design (stainless steel band), Steve Jobs announced around 100 new features. Here are the most interesting ones :
FaceTime
iPhone 4 has two cameras: one on the front and one on the back. FaceTime lets you switch back and forth between them at any time during a video call. Just fantastic !
Retina Display
The iPhone 4 Retina display uses technology called IPS (in-plane switching) — the same technology used in the Apple LED Cinema Display and iPad — to achieve a wider viewing angle than on typical LCDs.
Result : 326 pixels per inch !
Multitasking
By multitasking it means :
1. Switch application without leaving previous application,
2. Listen to audio in the background,
3. Get VoIP calls while using other application,
4. Keep GPS applications running,
5. Receive push and local notifications,
6. Complete tasks in the background.

For $4.99, the price of the coming iMovie application for iPhone, you will be able to edit video and turn video clips into a finished movie all in HD. Moreover when you tap a part of the image, the camera immediately focuses on it and adjusts exposure to match the lighting.

With the new iPhone is coming the new Operating System and SDK (version 4). iOS 4 works with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. Nevertheless not all features are compatible with all devices.
The best thing to do now is to subscribe to the Apple iPhone Developer Program and to discover the iPhone SDK 4 and all related documentation (SDK, Human Interface Guidelines). It’s up to you to pay $99 or more to take publish your creation on the Apple Store (if Apple agrees of course!). Don’t forget that now if you develop for the iPhone, you gain knowledge to develop for the iPad device too…
